Beachcomber Digital is based in Nanaimo, helping businesses, non-profits, and public-serving organizations build and improve websites and software.

Our name comes from Beachcomber Beach, about 15 minutes north of Nanaimo. It was one of the first places we visited after moving to Vancouver Island. The idea for Beachcomber Digital took shape during a quiet moment on a bench overlooking the shoreline.

Walking the beach rewards patience and attention. We bring that same curiosity to our work: understanding what is there, noticing what works, and exploring what it could become.

Our guiding principles

Integrity

We speak plainly about what we know, what needs investigation, and what a decision will mean. When something changes, we raise it early.

Craftsmanship

Small choices in wording, layout, and behaviour can make a real difference to the person using a website. We take care with those details, and with the work behind them.

Purpose

We ask what the work needs to achieve and who it should help. That keeps us focused on what is worth building and what can wait.

A good working relationship

You should feel comfortable asking questions, bringing us an unfinished idea, or saying that something does not feel right.

Let's Build Something Better.

Good projects start with good conversations. Tell us what you're hoping to accomplish, what's getting in the way, or where you'd like to go next. We'll bring our experience, ask the right questions, and help you find a way forward.
